The APDVEIA provides supplemental life insurance to Akron Police Officers for a minimal premium, currently paying a $10,000 death benefit.
How It Works:
- Enrollment: You must have enrolled while in the police academy and paid weekly premiums during your employment.
- Post-Retirement: Great news for our retirees – no premiums are required once you have retired.
- Current Membership: We are proud to serve 297 retiree members.
Managing Your Beneficiary Information: It is important to ensure your beneficiary designation is current.
- To Verify: Please email us at APDVEIA@outlook.com and we’ll be happy to confirm your current beneficiary on file.
- To Update: If you need to change your beneficiary, simply request an updated form via email or mail. We will be happy to send one your way.
