Subscribing to the PFRO25 Mailing List
The Police & Fire Retirees of Ohio, Local 25, provides a listserv emailing list. This list is a way to stay informed of updates to the site, participate, and share information.
Important: We upgraded our news and information email system
The Police & Fire Retirees Organization (PFRO25) has moved to a new, more reliable email system.
Why did we do this? Our previous system struggled to deliver our messages to major providers like Yahoo, AOL, and Gmail. Many of you have likely missed our messages because of these technical glitches. We want to fix this immediately so you never miss important news again.
What do you need to do? A invitation/confirmation email was sent to ensure your email address is still active and to comply with new email safety standards. It has a green bar with “Confirm your email” in it. You need to click on the green bar to confirm you want to receive our newsletters. Clicking the green confirmation bar will automatically register you into the new system and you will begin receiving emails as they get posted.
What if I didn’t receive the invitation/confirmation email? Check your spam folder and if it is there, mark it as not spam and move it to your inbox. If you didn’t receive a confirmation email, fill out the Subscribing form below and one will be sent to you.
Guidelines for Participation
To join the mailing list, we must confirm that each subscriber is an eligible retiree, widow, or widower of a police, or fire department. Please provide one of the following forms of verification in the Confirmation of Eligibility field:
- Current Member Reference – The name of a presently active member who can vouch for you.
- Agency Contact – The name and contact information of a representative from your former agency (e.g., a supervisor, HR liaison, or union official).
- Meeting Attendance – Meetings are the second Wednesday of the month. Attend the next meeting, where you will present your retirement credentials in person.
Only one of these options is required. All information will be used solely for verification purposes and will be kept confidential.
To ensure a positive experience for everyone, messages are moderated. Disrespectful or unproductive messages may result in removal of the message.
Upon approval to join, you will receive an email with instructions for using the mailing list.
